Would you like an eye examination?
Appointments for both private and NHS eye examinations are available. A typical thorough eye examination takes between 30 and 40 minutes and with us is so much more than just a sight test.

As part of your examination we can phototograph the back of your eyes. Our state of the art technology makes this possible and not only gives you a new fascinating look at the way your eyes function but can also help us to detect early signs of potential health problems.

Thinking about new glasses?
As an independent practice we can dispense a wide choice of frames.
Some of the designer creations available in practice are Silhouette, Chanel, Armani, Vera Wang, Bench, Tommy Hillfiger, Guess, Gant, Bvlgari.... the list goes on.

Do you need help choosing lenses?
The choice can be daunting. Simple reading or distance correction? High index Varilux (with exchange guarantee) for more complicated prescriptions? We will advise you of the benefits and costs then let you decide.

Am I suitable for contact lenses?
New lens materials mean it’s now possible to fit almost everyone even if there have been problems in the past. Safe contact lens wear requires effective aftercare so you would have to commit to see us at least every six months. Ask to speak to Andrew Thornton for more information.
